Star running back Zach Charbonnet is very important to the Seattle Seahawks. he is one of the reasons why the team is the favorite to win the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, he will no longer be available to play during this postseason. The Seattle Seahawks blew out the San Francisco 49ers, 41-6. But in the process of beating their division rival in the NFC Divisional round, they got some bad news.

Zach Charbonnet went down with an injury in the middle of this game. As Maura Dooley of Seattle Sports shared on social media, Mike Macdonald revealed that Charbonnet has a significant injury. He will need surgery and will miss the rest of the playoffs.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter later stated that he had torn his ACL. Not only will he miss the rest of the playoffs, but he is likely done for much of the 2026 season.

This is concerning news for Sam Darnold. He came into the Divisional round, not throwing a pass since he hurt his oblique on Thursday. Darnold still played but didn’t have to do much. That may change now with Zach Charbonnet’s injury diagnosis.

Charbonnet’s knee injury could open the door for a Kenneth Walker III playoff surge. It could introduce new Seattle Seahawks sleeper value ahead of the NFC Championship.

With Charbonnet sidelined on Saturday, Kenneth Walker III stepped up. Walker rushed 19 times for 116 yards and three touchdowns, and caught three passes for 29 yards.
