The Seattle Seahawks will be without running back Kenny McIntosh for the entire 2025 season in a brutal injury blow to the offense.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed that Kenny McIntosh tore his ACL and will miss all of 2025, per Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune.

Seattle drafted McIntosh in the seventh round (237th overall) in 2023 after he led the Georgia Bulldogs to back-to-back national championships. Through his first two seasons, McIntosh has rushed for 172 yards to go along with three catches and 22 receiving yards.

McIntosh hasn’t seen much playing time because Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet have formed one of the league’s best RB duos over the last two seasons. Seattle also used a seventh-round pick in the 2025 draft on Miami product Damien Martinez, adding more depth to their prolific backfield.

Still, losing Kenny McIntosh is a tough pill for the Seahawks to swallow. He flashed his tremendous upside in Georgia’s 2022 national championship-winning season, rushing for 829 yards and 10 touchdowns to go along with 43 catches for 504 yards and two touchdowns.

With McIntosh out for the year, the rest of Seattle’s RB room currently consists of Walker, Charbonnet, Martinez and sophomore George Holani, who signed as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State.

The Seahawks, coming off their best regular season finish (10-7) since 2020, kick off the 2025 campaign at home against the San Francisco 49ers.
