Sean McVay knows that the games only get harder the further into the playoffs you go
The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the postseason, and their reward is to the play the Philadelphia Eagles next week. The Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFL, and they absolutely smoked the Rams in L.A. by a score of 37-20 when the two teams faced off earlier this season.
“While we were certainly excited about being able to advance, we’ve got a short week and we’ve got a great challenge ahead of us against a team that humbled us at our place when we played them the last time.”
Are the Rams a better team now then when they played the Eagles back in November? Observers can safely say, “yes”. Is L.A. good enough to beat Philly in the NFL divisional round of the playoffs? After how the Rams played against the Vikings it seems like this team has a shot to beat anyone.
Philly is already favored in this game, and that could change by kickoff, but that seems right. The Eagles have been the better team on a week in and week out basis, but some would say they didn’t show enough in their own playoff win against the Green Bay Packers.
I say a win in the playoffs is all that matters, and to me, Philly looked more than ready to win more than one playoff game. Saquan Barkley certainly has the talent to take the Eagles the distance.
McVay is right, the Eagles humbled the Rams just a couple months ago, but that was then and this now. Perhaps McVay and L.A. can put together a plan to humble the Eagles in front of their home crowd this time.
