The Seahawks wasted no time moving on from Ryan Grubb in the wake of a disappointing offensive season, and now one of the assistants Grubb brought with him from Washington has joined the rival Rams in SoCal.
The Seattle Seahawks wasted no time moving on from offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb after a 2024 season that saw the offense produce disappointing results on the field, however, the fate of much of the rest of the coaching staff had remained uncertain.
In recent weeks, though, several other members of the staff have moved on, and on Saturday a report emerged that one of the most notable members of the 2024 Seahawks offensive coaching staff has landed with the division rival Los Angeles Rams.
Scott Huff had worked with Grubb at both Boise State and the University of Washington, but will not be following Grubb to Tuscaloosa to work with Kalen DeBoer at Alabama. Instead, Huff has opted to upgrade his resume by taking on the title of tight ends coach for the Rams where he will face off against Mike Macdonald and the Seahawks twice a year.
In addition, in Los Angeles he will be able to add the heavily coveted, “Worked with Sean McVay” bullet point to his resume, which seemingly all but guarantees he will become an offensive coordinator or head coach at some point in the next few years.
