Identifying the fastest players at the Senior Bowl workouts

As Los Angeles Head coach Sean McVay contemplates making the offense “…more versatile…” this offseason, college showcase games are offering glimpses into possible prospects that would be the catalyst for those changes.

This afternoon, the 2025 Senior Bowl kicks off 11:30 a.m. PST from Hancock-Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. TST staff writer Blaine Grisak has been covering the workout sessions on-site and provided daily live updates on TST site and on his X feed.

Speed, or the addition of it, could factor into McVay’s re-imagination of the offense. It could certainly help out a young defense as well. Part of the Senior Bowl coverage includes a partnership with Zebra Sports and their MotionWorks tracking system to time, calculate and record top speeds of individual players.

From the Zebra website, these were the fastest MPH times from the Senior Bowl week’s workouts. I have formatted them a little different., putting them into individual position and each player’s three workout times together. Their best time is in bold and I have put them in order of fastest overall to least. These are just raw numbers, no context. For example, a fast player, just by coincidence, might not get a chance to really stretch it out in every workout. But I do think there’s enough to get a handle on who can move.
