Buffalo Rumblings
It was not his prettiest win as a head coach but Sean McDermott joined the ranks of some of the NFL’s best coaches in league history after the Buffalo Bills defeated the New Orleans Saints 31-19 in Week 4.
McDermott notched his 90th win on Sunday and became just the 11th coach to accrue 90 victories in their first 135 games coached. Buffalo’s perfect 4-0 start was needed to reach the arbitrary mark as McDermott sits at 90-45 in his ninth season as head coach for the Bills.
McDermott is currently tied for 51st with Buck Shaw on the NFL all-time wins list and he could realistically jump to 45th place (97 wins). He is also 15th all-time in win percentage as a coach (.6670).
Up next for Buffalo is the New England Patriots, who come to Highmark Stadium for the last of a three-game homestand by the Bills.
