PITTSBURGH — The Seattle Seahawks will not have Pro Bowl cornerback Devon Witherspoon available to them for their Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Witherspoon has been dealing with a knee injury suffered in the Seattle opener against the San Francisco 49ers last week, and was considered doubtful to play.
In addition to Josh Jobe and Riq Woolen, veteran Derion Kendrick is likely to start for the Seahawks.
Seattle will also be without rookie strong safety Nick Emmanwori, who is out with an ankle injury. Fellow safety Julian Love will play through an injury that limited him this week.
There are four Seahawks healthy scratches: linebacker Jared Ivey, linebacker Connor O’Toole, offensive lineman Mason Richman and tight end Nick Kallerup.
Alabama rookie Jalen Milroe will serve as the Seahawks’ emergency quarterback. He dressed and had one carry in Week 1, but will not be a rushing threat against the Steelers in Week 2.
