Field Gulls
The Seattle Seahawks are certainly doing better with their injury report this time around. After somehow manifesting a slew of injuries during the bye week, this week has not proved so dire.
The same 10 players are on the list as were Wednesday, with only two changes. Cooper Kupp finally practices in limited fashion- great news. Tory Horton appears with a new shin injury and was limited on Thursday – not great.
What is going on with these receivers halfway through the week?
Regardless, the team is reasonably healthy, with even Christian Haynes seeming to hold up after spending the first half of the season on Injured Reserve. Josh Jobe has not yet cleared concussion protocol, so it looks like he’s now the corner to take a seat while Devon Witherspoon, Riq Woolen and Nick Emmanwori hold down the outside.
Expect Jaxon Smith-Njigba to be the runaway first read yet again this week, something only the Arizona Cardinals have even remotely slowed down in their first contest.
To that effect, once again the Cardinals have failed to assemble a legitimate secondary against the Seahawks.
Max Melton looks unlikely to play, while Kei’Triel Clark and Will Johnson are dealing with issues. A whole mess of limiteds will take shape over the weekend, but Arizona did finally get first-round pick Walter Nolan back, and he had quite the debut.
All four NFC West teams play each other in just a couple of days. Going to be some fierce rivalry matchups.
