Field Gulls
There’s one more regular season home game for the 2025 Seattle Seahawks, and it’s their biggest one in years. Either they’ll likely be in the playoffs as a wild card after being swept by the Los Angeles Rams, or they’ll be on the cusp of clinching the No. 1 seed in the NFC after exacting revenge on a team they’ve not beaten once with Matthew Stafford at quarterback. Maybe the seventh time is the charm.
Seattle’s defense has been outstanding virtually all season and the expectation is it should continue to play well on this wet and windy night at Lumen Field. The Seahawks offense needs to step it up if they want to be taken seriously as Super Bowl contenders. They’ve played at a high level more often than not, but there have been struggles in the dropback passing game, the rushing attack, and consequently they’ve not scored a touchdown in the first half over the last three games. It’s also a big night for Josh Jones, who’s filling in for the injured Charles Cross.
A Seahawks win puts them in the playoffs at the very least. A loss doesn’t really hurt their playoff changes but it means the wait could potentially last another week.
