Field Gulls
Were you not entertained?!
The Seattle Seahawks have laid waste to the Washington Commanders and have a commanding halftime lead on the road. Sam Darnold has thrown not one, not two, not three, but FOUR touchdown passes! No Cooper Kupp? No problem! Two scores for Tory Horton, as well as first career NFL touchdowns for Elijah Arroyo and Cody White. Darnold completed his first 16 for 282 yards passes and obviously has a perfect passer rating of 158.3.
Seattle’s defense and special teams forced two turnovers and there are few celebratory moments for Washington to look at. Unfortunately, the Commanders did get a touchdown through Jayden Daniels to make it 28-7. No problem, as Darnold’s perfect half continued with a couple of big plays to Jaxon Smith-Njigba to easily get them into field goal range. Jason Myers made it 31-7 at the break.
The one bummer? Injuries. Josh Jobe is out with a concussion. Ernest Jones has a possible ankle or knee injury so that’s really worth monitoring.
Otherwise this has been one HELL of a beating.
