Seahawks vs. 49ers: All the news you need for the NFC Divisional Round
Field Gulls Field Gulls

The last time the Seattle Seahawks made the playoffs, they lost heavily to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round. In their NFL postseason debut under head coach Mike Macdonald, their first opponent of the NFC Divisional Round is none other than the 49ers, only this time the Seahawks are the top seed in the conference and thus the game is at Lumen Field.

Seattle was able to get the number one seed with an impressive Week 18 win over the 49ers in Santa Clara. This time around the Seahawks will have Charles Cross and Coby Bryant back in the lineup, while San Francisco will have Trent Williams and maybe Ricky Pearsall, too. They won’t have tight end George Kittle after tearing his Achilles last week, a huge blow to an injury-riddled squad.

The Seahawks are favorites and comfortable ones at that, but when these teams are at their best in this rivalry, it’s rare that the games turn into blowouts.
