Seahawks-Titans Thursday injury report: Grey Zabel returns to practice
Field Gulls Field Gulls

The knee injury suffered by Seattle Seahawks rookie left guard Grey Zabel hasn’t kept him off the field for too long.

Zabel practiced on a limited basis on Thursday, having missed Wednesday’s practice. Mike Macdonald said Zabel was “day-to-day” after avoiding serious injury in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Even if Zabel doesn’t play Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans, the fact that he practiced in any capacity when the worst was feared a few days ago is highly encouraging.

For discouraging news, it’s looking like another missed week for Tory Horton due to his shin injury, which makes you wonder if Seattle will place him on injured reserve. Doing so would rule him out until Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams, so perhaps there was a reason Seattle didn’t IR him last week like they did with Jalen Sundell. There may also be a reason to pay attention to Robbie Ouzts not practicing for a second day in a row, having both an injury and non-injury related reason for sitting out. Linebacker Ernest Jones IV was downgraded to limited from full, but perhaps that’s precautionary more than anything.

Other than that, this is a good looking injury report, of which you can see the full Seahawks one below!

We’ll know Zabel’s game designation along with everyone else on Friday afternoon.
