The Wednesday injury report already had some key Seattle Seahawks defenders on the Did Not Participate list in Devon Witherspoon and rookie Nick Emmanwori. Well, that list is even longer on Thursday with both Julian Love and Jarran Reed not participating a day after being limited participants. Love was the star of the defense against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 and has a pivotal role on the defense. Reed is a key cog on the defensive line as well as being a vocal team leader. Did they suffer setbacks or is the team just being cautious?
Thankfully, Ernest Jones and Dareke Young both progressed from limited to full participation. Uchenna Nwosu was a full participant for the second day in a row and Jake Bobo was off the report as he looks to come back from his concussion.

Maybe the fact that Nick Emmanwori hasn’t been placed on injured reserve yet is also good news? If his ankle is responding, he won’t have to get put on the shelf for at least four weeks.
Seattle heads on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers and can use all of the help they can get. Having a decimated secondary going against Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf doesn’t sound like a great matchup.
Game designations will be announced on Friday.
