It’s a new week, which means it’s a new week of Seahawks Reacts! After a disappointing but nevertheless wildly entertaining 38-35 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, let’s do another weekly confidence check. While the banged up defense struggled, the offense was firing on all cylinders and kept Seattle in the game. Is that enough for you to still be confident in the direction of the franchise? Or has one loss to a likely playoff contender done some damage to your psyche?
This week’s score margin prediction is for the 4-1 Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s a tough road game and while Seattle’s road success has been phenomenal under Mike Macdonald, could this be a step too far? The Jaguars just had an amazing comeback win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, but will there be an emotional letdown off a short week? I hope so.
The big question we want you to answer has to do with the trade deadline. Seattle made a move for Ernest Jones IV midway through last season, acquired Roy Robertson-Harris in a lesser move, and two years prior landed Leonard Williams in a major acquisition. We’ve seen Schneider land the likes of Duane Brown, Quandre Diggs, and Carlos Dunlap over the years. Does he have something up his sleeve before November 4? Edge rusher has been speculated, as well as off-ball linebacker and I suppose cornerback given the Riq Woolen rumors. Offense doesn’t really have any “trade for someone” positions outside of maybe right guard, but there’s nothing to suggest Anthony Bradford is on the brink of getting benched, and Seattle may still look internally for an alternative solution if a change is made there.
Will it happen? Will the Seahawks land a player via midseason trade? It just needs to be for literally any player regardless of what the cost is. This is a simple “yes or no” question and the ambiguity of the position(s) is up to you.
