Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
It’s a new week, which means it’s time for a new Seahawks Reacts survey! That confidence poll was down to 61 percent the week prior after the Seattle Seahawks lost to the San Francisco 49ers, but a key road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers figures to bump that number up this week.
This week’s opponent will be the New Orleans Saints, who’ve played and lost to two of Seattle’s NFC West rivals at home. They were, however, competitive in their defeats to the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals, with both games decided on the final possession. This will be the first Saints road game of the year for quarterback Spencer Rattler and rookie head coach Kellen Moore, and it’d sure be cool if Seattle could bust its home losing streak against a “weaker” foe. Who will prevail and by how many points? You know the drill by now.
Our question of the week concerns Seattle’s top two running backs. Seattle’s running game was largely stagnant in Week 1 but was able to (sort of) get going in Week 2, with Kenneth Walker III rushing for over 100 yards for the first time since opening day of 2024. It was Zach Charbonnet who never got beyond first gear after just 10 yards on 15 carries. Will either Walker or Charb (or both?!) reach the century mark against the Saints? Keep in mind that New Orleans held the 49ers to just 77 yards on the ground, although they did give up 146 versus Arizona (but no 100-yard rusher). The last time the Seahawks had 100-yard runners in back-to-back games? You have to go back to K9’s rookie year and the last three regular season games of 2022.
