Field Gulls
The defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks saw their 2026 rookie class report for training camp on Friday, which of course meant the start of the annual flurry of announcements of players heading to either the nonfootball injury list or the physically unable to perform list.
Saturday it was seventh round pick Deven Eastern who landed on the PUP list, and on Monday three more members of the roster joined him there.
The PUP list is typically for players with injuries that date from either the prior season or the offseason program, but it’s far from the end of the world for Nick Emmanwori, Kenny McIntosh and Tyrone Broden, as all three are eligible to come off the PUP list as soon as they pass a physical and are cleared for full activity.
Fans are certain to be anxious for an update on the specifics of why Emmanwori landed on the PUP list, while the fact that McIntosh lands on the PUP almost a year after being placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL suffered during training camp last summer will almost certainly raise eyebrows.
In any case, as updates become available in the coming days, Field Gulls will work to keep readers fully up to date.
