It’s Thursday and the Seattle Seahawks are in Glendale to take on the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 4 for the NFL.
After a rash of injuries to key players did not prevent the Seahawks from stomping the New Orleans Saints in Week 3, many of those who did not dress for the game Sunday appear set to play Thursday against the division rival Cardinals.
Specifically, safety Julian Love and cornerback Devon Witherspoon are set to return to action after not being given an injury designation for the game on the final injury report Wednesday night. With less need for depth in the secondary, the Seahawks opted instead to use their practice squad elevations for the week elsewhere, specially on the offensive line where Josh Jones was listed as out and Anthony Bradford questionable heading into the game.
Elevating Amari Kight gives the Hawks a swing tackle in place of Jones, while it seems likely that Mason Richman will be active if Anthony Bradford is unable to go. The elevation of Brandon Pili gives the team additional bulk in the middle of the defensive line.
And now we’re on to the inactives.
