The Seattle Seahawks may still be flying high after winning Super Bowl 60 earlier this year. Seattle faced some adversity this offseason, with many players leaving for greener pastures during NFL free agency. But one Seahawks player is still confident that they are one of the league’s best teams.
Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp issued a warning to the rest of the league during a recent interview. He explained that Seattle is going to keep doing their thing as they attempt to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
“We’re going to lean into doing the simple things at a very high level, we’re going to show up and we’re going to work,” Kupp said on Wednesday, via The Rich Eisen Show. “We are going to challenge each other, we are going to talk honestly with one another and we’re going to make this a very challenging place to come in and play… You come here, we’re gonna punch people in the mouth. That’s what we want to do.”
Kupp added that Macdonald essentially doubled down on everything he preached during Seattle’s Super Bowl run last season.
Kupp’s production slipped a bit in 2025, but he was still a useful piece of Seattle’s offense. He logged 47 receptions for 593 receiving yards and two touchdowns during the regular season.
But the secret sauce for the Seahawks was their elite defense. Seattle had the best defensive unit in the NFL last season, only allowing 17.2 points per game before the playoffs. That put them first in the NFL, barely ahead of the Texans with their elite pass rushing crew.
Regardless, it will be exciting to see if Seattle can repeat as Super Bowl champions later this fall.
