Field Gulls
The Seattle Seahawks have tweaked their practice squad a bit ahead of their Week 10 game with the Arizona Cardinals.
Undrafted rookie free agent tight end Marshall Lang, who was brought in this offseason alongside current 53-man roster player Nick Kallerup, has been added to the practice squad as of Thursday. Starting tight end A.J. Barner has been limited in practice over the past two days with a calf injury, and prior to Lang’s signing Seattle didn’t have a practice squad tight end. With Eric Saubert on IR and Barner ailing, it’s no surprise that the Seahawks are looking for options in case Barner can’t go on Sunday.
To make room for Lang, offensive lineman Logan Brown was let go.
Seattle also signed receiver Mac Dalena, who played at Fresno State and was initially signed as a UDFA by the Kansas City Chiefs. This gives the Seahawks a whopping five PS WRs, which may seem like overkill but is better contextualized with the injuries to Dareke Young, Jake Bobo, Tory Horton, and Cooper Kupp.
