Field Gulls
The Seattle Seahawks will have their speedy wide receiver and Pro Bowl return specialist available for Saturday’s NFC West title game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Thursday’s practice has come and gone without incident, and Seattle only has three players with any injury designations for this highly anticipated showdown in Santa Clara. As expected, starting left tackle Charles Cross is out for a third game in a row with a hamstring injury, while safety Coby Bryant is unlikely to play after injuring his knee two weeks ago. Backup tackle Josh Jones is questionable with ankle and knee injuries but did practice on a limited basis on Thursday, with the expectation that he will play. If he can’t go, rookie Amari Kight would get the left tackle call-up.
The biggest and best news is Rashid Shaheed, who was concussed by former Seahawk Mike Jackson Sr in last week’s win over the Carolina Panthers, has cleared concussion protocol and therefore is set to go. He was a full participant in the last two practices. Given the Seahawks lost Cody White to a season-ending groin injury and rookie Tory Horton is still on injured reserve, not having Shaheed would’ve been a massive blow to the wide receiver group.

Meanwhile, the 49ers injury report has no one listed as out or doubtful, but left tackle Trent Williams not practicing all week seems like an ominous sign that he won’t play. George Kittle, Upton Stout, Ricky Pearsall, and Keion White are also listed as questionable, but all of them practiced on Thursday.
