A slight majority would like to see a change.

Tampa Bay is no longer in the playoffs. And watching the Washington Commanders advance to the NFC Championship with ease should give some comfort to Bucs fans that the team — for the most part — held quarterback Jayden Daniels and Washington in check for the most part. But the team is home watching, and so are the fans.

With the 2024 season now in the rearview, the fans and media alike have had time to reflect on what transpired throughout their campaign. There were lots of defensive blunders that caused fans to cringe becoming ever so tired of the constant failures where the head coach — a defensive minded coach — couldn’t rectify.

We recently asked Bucs fans if they’d like to see a change at the helm. The majority, 64-percent, would like to have seen the Bucs make a change and move on from Todd Bowles.

We won’t know how this season will ultimately look like or how it’ll impact Bowles’ resume. But in a season where the offense stood at the top of the league in many statistical categories, many feel this season was a waste thanks to the defense’s inability to stop anyone in many games that were lost.

And with a coach leading the way that is considered a defensive wizard, many view 2024 as unacceptable.
