Week 2 of the 2025 season saw the New Orleans Saints fall to the San Francisco 49ers 26-21. For the second week in a row, the Saints fought for 4 quarters, with both games coming down to the final 2 minutes. We saw Spencer Rattler have an incredible day, finishing 25 of 34 for 207 yards and 3 TDs, however it just was not enough. While penalties were less of an issue this week, kicker Blake Grupe missed another easy field goal, leaving 3 points on the field.
After two weeks, the Saints are 0-2 having lost by a total of 12 points. So close, yet so far away with the shining light being they are showing improvement each game.
