Behind the Steel Curtain
Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here at BTSC to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).
It’s been a stormy week in the greater Philly area with multiple thunderstorms rolling through. It is nice that my lawn is somewhat green without the daily watering my neighbors have to do to keep their lawns photo-shoot ready for “Better Homes and Gardens than Yours” magazine. I decided many of tonight’s questions are weather-themed.
This 5 pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, and also let us know what you’re eating/drinking!
1. There’s a lot of Top-10-Rankings articles floating around like clouds. This or that player is too high/too low/ too not on the list.
What top-10 list will the Steelers be left off of after the 2026 season? (Funny answers only.)
2. Sparks1951 is putting out a 2027-free-agent-alert for Baker Mayfield.
What % chance do you give the Steelers bringing in another aging vet QB as QB1 next year (assuming Rodgers hangs it up as planned)?
3. We had what I’m calling “Movie-style rain” come through this week: torrential downpour with multiple lightning strikes, literally looked like someone was dumping buckets of water everywhere. I was outside at work when they detected lightning, so we aborted the job and I got soaked basically for nothing. Flash floods caused road closures as well as downed trees, so the drive home was interesting too.
What’s the worst storm you travelled or worked through?
4. Today is 7/11 day!. Those stores are open 24/7 even in inclement weather.
What’s your go-to convenience store snack?
5. What’s your favorite weather-related song? (mine is SOTN below)
Song Of The Night: Rain When I Die – Alice In Chains
