Well, the preseason games are behind us, but the sword of Damocles looms as cutdown day (August 26th) approaches. For some, a life changing job awaits. For many, their NFL dreams are coming to an end. There have been lots of position battles, and in less than a week we’ll see whom the Steelers deemed worthy of their 53.
This 6 pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, also let us know what you’re eating/drinking!
- The third and final preseason game has ended. Did you have a favorite preseason moment/play? If so, what was it?
- Aaron, DK, TJ, and Cam didn’t play in the preseason. Given the injury to Derrick Harmon, do you think this was the right call to protect these critical players’ health in meaningless games? Why/Why not?
- Roc Taylor, Breiden Fehoko, and other Steelers have already been cut/released. If you had a roster exemption to the 53 aka “Golden Ticket” to rescue one bubble/ end of the roster player for the 2025 season, who would it be and why?
- Speaking of being cut, some former Steeler WRs are potential cut candidates with their respective teams. For each, guess whether that player makes the 53 or is cut. If you’d guess them making the cut, do you think over or under 25 recs in ’25?
- Diontae Johnson – Browns
- Chase Claypool – Bills
- Van Jefferson – Titans
- Some notable trades are going down in the NFL. Which one do you wish Khan got done for the B&G:
- A 2026 6th to acquire RB Brian Robinson Jr. (Commanders)
- A 2026 4th + 2027 7th for WR Devaughn Vele (Broncos)
- Conner Heyward +2026 5th for WR John Metchie III (Texans)
NOTE: To even out TE Bryant vs TE Heyward, assume we don’t get a 2026 back like the Eagles actually did.
