The latest Cleveland Browns news and notes from around the NFL in the Saturday Dawg Chow.
The NFL world was focused this past week on New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles prepare for Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The league’s marquee event took a back seat in Cleveland, however, after defensive end Myles Garrett went public with his desire for a trade.
That set a flurry of activity over whether or not the Browns should acquiesce to Garrett’s wishes or simply ignore them, what they could potentially receive in a trade for the league’s best defensive player, and how this is the latest kick in an unpleasant place for fans of the team.
It was all just the latest reminder that the Browns, even though they have not played a game in five weeks, still dominate the headlines in this town, even if it sadly is not always for the right reasons.
For now, there has been no movement from either side that indicates they are having a change of heart, so while we wait for the next news nugget to drop let’s kick off the weekend with the latest edition of the Saturday Dawg Chow.
