The Kansas City Chiefs had an elite defense and arguably the greatest defensive coordinator in NFL history.
Unfortunately for them, not even that was enough to hold the Philadelphia Eagles back.
Kellen Moore and the Eagles had an answer for everything the Chiefs threw at them.
While the Chiefs were able to contain Saquon Barkley and limit his explosive runs, it opened up many opportunities for the rest of the offense.
That’s why, following the win, the Penn State product put the league on notice with a big remark about his team (via NFL Network):
“If you want to sell out to stop the run, good luck,” he said.

He’s right on point there.
Even if Barkley wasn’t as efficient as he usually was, having him there changed everything.
The Eagles were able to drain the clock, and he kept pounding and wearing the defense out.
Then, the Eagles kept converting on third down, as Barkley posed a perennial threat they just couldn’t overlook.
Barkley had one of the greatest seasons by a running back in NFL history, but he wasn’t alone.
On top of an elite offensive line, the Eagles had two reliable pass-catchers like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to trust when in need of a big play.
Howie Roseman has done an outstanding job of putting that roster together.
They’re an offensive behemoth of a team.
Opposing teams have no option but to pick their poison and hope for the best when facing such a skilled group of playmakers.
