Cincy Jungle
The Cincinnati Bengals are in desperate need of a win today against the visiting Chicago Bears if they hope to keep the 2025 season alive.
Both Charlie Jones and Samaje Perine have been impressive this afternoon on kickoff return, but on the most recent return, Perine suffered an ankle/lower leg injury.
The Bears defender brought Perine to the ground with a textbook hip drop tackle, and he looked to be in serious pain before popping up and jogging off the field.
Perine showed his love for the game, trying to fight through the injury, but quickly headed to the locker room after getting to the sideline.
The Bengals then announced that Perine’s return is doubtful this afternoon.
The offense will now rely on Chase Brown to handle the workload for the remainder of the contest today and potentially longer, depending on the severity of the injury.
No matter the injury, I loved seeing Perine bounce back up and show his passion for the game.
