Cam Jordan gives Poirier a behind-the-scenes tour of the Saints facility.
The New Orleans Saints had a special visitor at their facility Wednesday: UFC legend and lifelong member of the Who Dat Nation, Dustin Poirier.
Joined by future Hall of Fame defensive end Cam Jordan and Saints owner Gayle Benson, Poirier—a Lafayette native—got a behind-the-scenes look at the stomping grounds of the team he grew up watching.
The 36-year-old, who holds a 30-9-0 record, is set to headline UFC 318 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on July 19. The bout will be his third against fellow UFC legend Max Holloway (26-8-0), who will be defending his BMF title—and it will mark the final chapter of Poirier’s storied career.
Poirier also had the honor of announcing the Saints’ sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft at Lambeau Field, where New Orleans selected Kansas Jayhawks RB Devin Neal with the 184th overall pick. He previously announced the Saints’ second-round pick at the 2022 draft in Las Vegas, when the team selected Tennessee Volunteers DB Alontae Taylor with the 49th overall pick.
Cam Jordan has been vocal about his UFC fandom for quite some time now, so it’s safe to say that he was pumped to reunite with his good friend and fellow competitor.
Wishing Dustin Poirier great health as he prepares for his last dance. With the full support of Who Dat Nation behind him, The Diamond is ready to make history.
