The New Orleans Saints will hit the road for the first time this season, taking on the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday afternoon. Another first for this season, the Saints will wear their “Color Rush” uniforms and brand-new white helmets in Week 3.
The Saints Color Rush uniforms debuted back in 2016, instantly becoming a fan favorite. However, the white helmet is new to the lineup, with team making the announcement back in July about adding another alternate helmet.
We could see this color combination a couple more times this season, as the NFL has adjusted its uniform policy to allow teams to wear their alternate jerseys and helmets up to four times a year.
In their season opener at home against the Arizona Cardinals, the team debuted their new gold jersey with black helmets.
