Thod would be their first uniform change since 2022’s black helmets.

The New Orleans Saints have seen quite a bit of change in the past few weeks.

The last remnants of the Sean Payton era have left the building, and it feels as though the Saints are finally entering a new beginning.

So, it would be fitting that a new addition to the uniform may be on the way this fall.

The NFL altered the uniform rules in 2024 allowing all teams to have a 3rd helmet. We’ve seen quite a few varieties for teams with two helmets over the years, the most often used of those being a throwback uniform. The Saints have used those in the past, and most recently have adopted a black helmet with smaller Fleur-de-Lis lining the middle.

The Houston Texans gave fans a sneak preview of what more variety can look like this past season, as they were granted early access to the 3rd helmet rule due to undergoing a complete uniform overhaul.

X user Zach Cohen reports that both the Saints and Chargers may have new helmets on the way in 2025.

It’s worth taking these rumors with a grain of salt for the time being until an official announcement is made, but a small change in looks would go hand in hand with an overhaul for the Saints in 2025.

If the Saints are to get a new helmet, what would you like the design to be?
