New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough is having the rookie ride of his life literally, as he has been named the Grand Marshal for the Krewe of Pygmalion parade.

The Uptown parade, who is celebrating their 25th year, will roll on Saturday, February 7th beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Magazine Street, and ten wrap up at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center with “Pygmalion Fest” featuring by global superstar DJ and producer Marshmello. This year’s theme, “The Princess and the Pyg,” reimagines the magic of Mardi Gras through a modern fairytale lens, where timeless tradition meets royal revelry and every guest steps into a story of grandeur, glamour, and celebration.

Shough joins former Saints QB Drew Brees, who served as Mardi Gras royalty in 2007 as the Grand Marshal of Bacchus. Brees was also the King of Bacchus in 2010.

This is just another honor for the Saints 2025 2nd round draft pick who finished the season passing for 2,384 yards and 11 touchdowns through 9 starts. As a result of his incredible on-the-field performance, Shough was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team and is a finalist for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and the fan-voted NFL Rookie of the Year.
