New Orleans Saints OL Trevor Penning also sustained a foot injury and was carted off during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Fortunately, we now know that his injury is a minor one and is expected to miss just few weeks per a report from Ian Rapoport.
This news is very good news for the Saints offensive line, as it was also just announced today that center Will Clapp’s foot injury is serious enough to land him on injured reserve, which will end his season.
Penning was selected by the Saints in the 1st round (19th overall) of 2022 NFL Draft. During this offseason, he made the move from playing at tackle to guard, and has been having a very good training camp, receiving multiple compliments on his progress from not just head coach Kellen Moore but his fellow teammates.
