Canal Street Chronicles
The New Orleans are on a four-game win streak after their victory over the Tennessee Titans last week, and although that is great for the team, it’s not for the draft position. In previous weeks, we have seen the Saints’ draft pick slowly tumble down the order, but even after their latest win, New Orleans got very lucky in the draft.
Here is the new draft order.
With the Saints still at pick 8, they remain in pole position to secure top prospects. Offense could be the direction New Orleans ends up actually going in, but for now, CB is still a massive need, and one player sticks out as an excellent option.
LSU CB Mansoor Delane was one of the best defenders this past season. He became the star of the Tigers’ defense, showing how dominant he can be against any WR. The young CB looks excellent in both zone and man, is a strong tackler, and makes smart plays every down. He is also elite, and his reads in the play result in excellent pass breakups. Throwing Delane’s way in college was a mistake, and that should stay true in the NFL.
