The New Orleans Saints have announced the hiring of Thomas Dimitroff as a consultant.

Dimitroff has 29 total years of NFL experience, working with the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs. In 1993, he started his career as part-time scout for the Lions. The following year, he was promoted to a full-time scout, spending 3 more seasons in Detroit (1994-1997) before heading to Cleveland. Dimitroff spent the next 3 years with the Browns (1998-2001) before joining the Patriots in 2002 as a national scout under Bill Belichick. After just one season, he was promoted to director of college scouting and was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams with the Patriots.

From 2008-2020, Dimitroff served as the general manager for the Falcons, helping to lead them Super Bowl LI in 2017. In 2008 and 2010, he was named the NFL Executive of the Year.
