Saints fans continue to show up and support their team.
The New Orleans Saints have seen a large fan attendance through their two minicamp practices.
The turnout is somewhat surprising as the team is holding practices at noon on weekdays. With the New Orleans heat, standing out in the sun can be a challenge.
The Saints held minicamp at Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie in 2024, but fans were upset when the team hosted their training camp in Irvine, California while the team’s facilities were being worked on.
Head coach Kellen Moore was asked about the sold-out practice on Tuesday and said, “It’s been great. It’s been an awesome opportunity for us to have fans there... to bring the energy and bring the juice. The community is really special and hopefully, they come out throughout training camp too.”
It is clear fans are excited to watch their local team play and the ongoing quarterback battle is something to look forward to.
Despite false reports, the Saints held an impressive home attendance of 70,012 in 2024. The fans continued to show out during the team’s lackluster 5-12 season and even sold out the Caesars Superdome during their seven-game losing streak.
As the season approaches and excitement about the team’s rookie quarterback and head coach continues to rise, more and more fans are going to make an effort to see their young team firsthand.
