The former Packers quality control coach heads to New Orleans.

The New Orleans Saints have solidified a new hire to the special teams staff. According to Nick Underhill, the Saints have brought on Kyle Wilber as the new assistant special teams coordinator.

Wilber, 35, comes to New Orleans after two seasons as the Green Bay Packers’ special teams quality control coach. He spent most of his playing career with the Dallas Cowboys, where he was a teammate of new Saints head coach Kellen Moore. Wilber was selected in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Playing for the Cowboys from 2012 to 2017, in 2018, the Oakland Raiders signed Wilber in free agency where he played through the end of his Raiders 2021 stint.

Wilber will work alongside Phil Galiano, who was recently promoted to special teams coordinator after serving as assistant special teams coordinator under Darren Rizzi for the past several seasons.
