Former NFL safety Ryan Clark has issued another apology amid his feud with Robert Griffin III.
Clark, now an analyst at ESPN, also hosts a podcast, ‘The Pivot,’ which he used to apologize to RGIII and his wife Grete last week.
It appears he wasn’t satisfied with his own apology, as he’s dropped another video in an effort to atone for his recent public missteps, this time apologizing to his own wife.
Clark claimed that, by bringing Griffin’s wife into their argument, he opened the door for folks to go after his own family.
“By speaking about RG’s wife, it’s not brought my family into the equation,” he said on the latest episode of ‘The Pivot’ this Sunday. “It’s brought Yonka into the equation. Brought my children, Jordan, Loghan, Jaden, into the equation.”
As I end this I need to apologize to my family. Yonka, Jaden, Jordan, & Loghan I am sorry. Until this week I didn’t realize how much you defend me, & deal with the fall out of my stuff. This week brought it all to a head. Yonka has been dragged the entire week, & Jaden who we… pic.twitter.com/gTJCdTr54n

The ESPN analyst admitted that his words have an unwanted impact on people who aren’t necessarily involved and promised to do better.
“I certainly didn’t want them to have to be sort of the casualties of my Twitter or my media wars. Yonka in particular has taken a lot of heat, has taken a lot of hate,” he added. “All she’s ever done is give her life to her family. All she’s ever done is make sure all of our kids had the best home life, the most present mother, the best provider, the best support system that they possibily could.”
RGIII, who had a fiery response after Clark brought up the color of his wife’s skin, has not offered a public reply since his former teammate and colleague walked back on his comments.
