The Baltimore Ravens were blown out at home by the Houston Texans, losing 44-10 to drop to 1-4 on the season.
Here are Baltimore Beatdown’s Roundtable Reactions to the Ravens’ Week 5 loss:
No matter how low expectations were for the Ravens heading into Sunday’s game, they found a way to disappoint on every level. They didn’t go down swinging; they went down missing tackles, committing penalties, and looking completely outmatching against a Texans team that has not been good – certainly not that good – to start the year.
Could Baltimore get healthier and bounce back with a soft post-bye schedule? It’s possible, but it doesn’t seem likely. Something has to change, and there are no easy solutions in the NFL. This season is quickly sliding away from the Ravens. – Nikhil Mehta
The Ravens losing isn’t that shocking. Even the scoring difference doesn’t surprise me. The worst part of this game was the lack of fight. I’ve never seen a John Harbaugh led team fail so utterly hard in a game. Even the Covid game in 2020 with half the roster missing played harder than this team.
It’s clear this team has zero fight for the season. Now we wait to see what happens during next weeks Rams game and if the Ravens become sellers at the deadline, which they should. – Zach Canter
Expectations were low but the Ravens still managed to disappoint. Never has a John Harbaugh team been completely embarrassed at home on both sides of the ball, but that’s what happened today. The Ravens showed no fight and only broke down further as the game progressed. From top to bottom, the organization has tons of questions and no apparent answers right now. Last week’s loss compounded by a slew of injuries before today felt like rock bottom, but the floor was lowered even more now. – Frank Platko
