BALTIMORE — With veterans Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Adam Thielen in the fold, Pittsburgh Steelers second-year receiver Roman Wilson won’t play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Wilson has 12 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns this season, but hasn’t lived up to what Mike Tomlin’s team expected when it drafted him in the third round in 2024.

The Steelers will also be without safety Kyle Dugger (hand) during the pivotal AFC North clash. Jabrill Peppers and Chuck Clark will help fill in for him beside veteran Jalen Ramsey, who’s been stationed on the back end since regular starter DeShon Elliott badly hyperextended his knee against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8.

Dugger gave the Steelers defense a jolt after the New England Patriots shipped him to Mike Tomlin’s team. Through five games in black and gold, he has 23 tackles and an interception, which he returned 73 yards for a touchdown.

The Steelers’ other inactives will be receiver Ke’Shawn Williams, defensive linemen Derrick Harmon, Logan Lee and Brodric Martin-Rhodes and offensive lineman Calvin Anderson. Rookie Will Howard will be the Steelers’ emergency third quarterback.

Harmon (knee) misses his second straight contest. Without him, the Steelers’ defense allowed the Buffalo Bills to run for nearly 250 yards last week. Against Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, that same front will aim to stiffen up and notch a crucial victory.
