PITTSBURGH — For the second straight week, former third-round draft pick Roman Wilson will be a healthy scratch for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wilson was listed among the Steelers’ inactives against the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football in Week 15. He was also a healthy scratch in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Wilson has fallen out of favor for the Steelers, with veterans Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling dressing ahead of him in each of the last two weeks. Those players combined for just one target in Week 14 against the Ravens, but could be in line for a bigger role against the Cover 2-heavy Dolphins secondary this week.
After missing his entire rookie season with a series of ankle and hamstring injuries, Wilson has struggled to gain a foothold on a role for the Steelers in 2025. In 12 games, he has 12 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns — with a significant portion of that production coming late in games whose outcome had already been decided.
The Steelers also made defensive tackle Brodric Martin a healthy scratch, while outside linebacker T.J. Watt (lung), defensive tackle Derrick Harmon (knee), cornerback James Pierre (calf) and offensive lineman Andrus Peat (concussion) will all miss the contest due to inquiry.
