Robert Kraft is excited for the future of the Patriots after a few tough seasons for New England.

The Patriots have had two straight 4-13 seasons, last making the playoffs in 2021.

“Except for the last two years, I think we’ve done pretty well. Really, I’m so excited for today and hopefully the start of a new chapter of our team doing well,” Kraft said at training camp on Wednesday, according to MassLive’s Chris Mason.

With a new head coach in Mike Vrabel and multiple improvements in the roster heading into the start of the new season, Kraft is hopeful that New England will turn a new page.

An area where the Patriots added some talent is from their 2025 NFL Draft where they took LSU tackle Will Campbell in the first round. They also grabbed Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson and Washington State wide receiver Kyle Williams in the second and third rounds.

With addressing some needs in the offseason, Kraft’s excitement has even made his family want him to calm down.

“We’ve been able to bring in a group of young free agents, and I like our draft and some real veterans that I think can hopefully can make it happen,” Kraft said. “I know everyone in my family says ‘calm down, Dad,’”
