Robert Griffin III’s habit of collecting an item of clothing that probably no one else seems to want to collect has come up in online discourse again.
The former NFL quarterback is known to love socks and has shown off some eccentric designs over the past several years. He went viral for wearing Superman-themed socks with capes to the Heisman Trophy ceremony back in college and has shown off several unique ones since then.
His love for socks saw him secure a deal with Adidas while he was with the Washington Redskins, with the partnership aimed at creating the trendiest custom socks.
Back then, RGIII claimed to have enough socks to wear different ones every day for two months.
“I have enough where I can wear a different pair every day for two months,” he told USA Today.
The post below claims he now has hundreds and never wore the same pair to games back when he played, while making outings, media appearances, and public events in custom ones.
