Robert Griffin III might need a new playbook for his social media game. The former ESPN analyst lit up X last week over Shedeur Sanders’ preseason debut. But fans didn’t just notice his takes. They spotted the complete U-turn. And they let him have it.

It started when the Cleveland Browns named Sanders their starting quarterback for the preseason opener. Many thought the move was a setup. Griffin agreed. He accused the Browns of putting the rookie in a no-win spot.

“Shedeur Sanders is being set up to fail in Cleveland,” Griffin posted on Aug. 4. “But God’s got him showing out even with limited reps.”

Then Friday night happened. Sanders carved up the Carolina Panthers. He threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski called the night “invaluable” for the rookie’s growth.

Griffin switched gears fast. Suddenly, he praised the Browns’ young quarterback. “Many thought Shedeur Sanders would fail after being thrown to the wolves… BUT GOD saw fit that Shedeur Sanders would come back leading the pack,” Griffin wrote after the game.

The quick reversal created a wave of “hypocrisy” claims online. Fans argued that Griffin did the very thing he was calling out.
