I don’t have to tell you this, but the wheels fell off this franchise the night that Jon Robinson traded A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Tennessee Titans moved into the building that is now called Nissan Stadium in 1999. In that time, they have really only had two receivers that could even arguably be called number one receivers, Derrick Mason and A.J. They thought they were getting another one when they signed Calvin Ridley. That has proven to be untrue.
Ridley has had a brutal start to the season. Just how bad has it been?
That is really unacceptable for how much the Titans are paying Calvin Ridley. Brian Callahan said in his press conference on Monday that no one works harder than Ridley. That’s all well and good, but right now, he is actually hurting the team on the field.
You know the Titans have been bad. How bad have they been?
In case you can’t see that whole tweet, the Titans are dead last in net yardage at -454. That is a commentary on how bad both the offense and defense have been. Special teams is the only unit on this team that has been remotely good.
It’s hard to say if the new regime didn’t want Derrick Henry or if Henry didn’t want to be here for a rebuild. It sure would be nice to have found a way to work that out.
Is this fun?
