The 49ers only elevated a pair of linemen on each side of the ball on Saturday, likely to reward them with game checks
There were no linebackers elevated, which was a good sign for Luke Gifford and Dee Winters availability. The same is true for wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. All three will play tonight. Here is a look at the inactive list:
S Ji’Ayir Brown (hamstring)
RB Isaac Guerendo
DT Kevin Givens
DT Sebastian Valdez
OT Brandon Parker
WR Jordan Watkins
DE Robert Beal
Pearsall, Winters, and Gifford are all active. That is the 49ers effectively getting back three starters. We will see if Gifford ends up at SAM linebacker or how those rotations work.
This morning, a report surfaced about Sam Darnold sustaining an oblique injury during the week in practice. Reporters noticed that backup quarterbacks Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe were on the field warming up, but Darnold wasn’t in sight:
Darnold is officially active for the Seahawks, two days after suffering an injury.
