In the event that you missed The Adam Thielen Story the first several million times it was told when he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings, you may get an opportunity to hear it again.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Vikings have made inquiries with the Carolina Panthers about trading for Thielen, who has spent the last two seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
Thielen was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent back in 2013 after the purple signed him after a rookie tryout. As we know, he worked his way up from the practice squad to become a highly-productive receiver over the course of his nine seasons in Minnesota. He then signed with the Panthers as a free agent ahead of the 2023 season, and in his two seasons in Carolina has caught 151 passes for 1,629 yards and nine touchdowns.
Thielen went over the 1,000-yard receiving mark in his first season with the Panthers, but was limited last season as he played just 10 games due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 3 which landed him on injured reserve.
As Schefter notes, Jordan Addison will miss the first three games of the season and Jalen Nailor’s status is currently up in the air. The Vikings are going to need a running mate for Justin Jefferson, and it appears they’re interested in bringing back the guy who filled that role from 2020 to 2022.
Well, now that there’s something official about it, what do you think, folks? Do you think a potential Adam Thielen reunion for the Vikings is a good idea?
