REPORT: Top Super Bowl Contender Has Reached Out To Cleveland Browns About Blockbuster Trade For Myles Garrett

Cleveland Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett cited a desire to compete for a Super Bowl when he requested a trade earlier this year.

He has only been to the postseason twice during his career with Cleveland, and neither year was a time when the team looked like a Super Bowl contender.

Having someone like Garrett along the defensive front would open up even more blitzing holes for any linebacker duo, given the number of double teams the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year consistently draws.

Now, it appears a Super Bowl contender wants him on the squad.

This week, it was revealed that the Buffalo Bills were officially named one of the teams that have contacted the Browns about DE Myles Garrett.

Following their loss in the AFC championship game, the Bills clearly have more work to do. After watching the amount of pressure Patrick Mahomes was under in the Super Bowl, it makes sense why they would want Garrett.

Garrett has been linked to Buffalo on multiple occasions already, but this time might be the most serious.

ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler added that Garrett makes sense for the Bills.

“What became clear through the playoffs, however, is that Buffalo needs to add more true difference-makers to the roster,” Fowler wrote. “Many around the league agree: Working a potential trade for Myles Garrett or another high-end pass rusher would make sense. The Bills need more edge prowess.”

Myles Garrett Is Unlikely To Get Hs Trade Wish

At the present moment, the Cleveland Browns are far more likely to hang on to DE Myles Garrett than to trade him.

The Browns are not a good team, and a Garrett trade would lead to a significant return that could help in a rebuild.

There have been a number of projected Garrett trade proposals, but none of them matter unless the Browns front office changes its mind about shipping him out.

For now, it appears that Garrett will be on the roster for the 2025 season.
