Another wide receiver option is off the table for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are believed to be buyers at the NFL trade deadline coming off an impressive 27-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts and still a clear need at wide receiver. However, that potential acquisition will not come from the Tennessee Titans.

According to Turron Davenport of ESPN, the Titans are not shopping veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley, despite recent reports. Tennessee has reportedly received calls about Ridley, among other players.

The #Titans are not shopping Calvin Ridley as some reports are saying. Confirmed with multiple team sources that it's not the case. They have, however, received calls about Ridley and other players.

If that’s true, Ridley will become the latest wide receiver who the Steelers were linked to that can now be crossed off their list of potential trades.

Ridley, 30, has had a rough start to his 2025 campaign with just 16 catches for 290 yards and zero touchdowns. Things aren’t going any better for the Titans, either, as they sit in last place in the AFC South at 1-8.

However, it seems Tennessee wants to continue building around No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward to set him up to succeed, and trading away one of his weapons would not help the team’s efforts to do just that.

Ridley began his career as the No. 26 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He spent the first four years of his career in Atlanta, where he racked up 248 receptions for 3,342 yards and 28 touchdowns, before being dealt to the Jacksonville Jaguars at the trade deadline in 2022.

He could not play during the 2022 season as he was serving an indefinite suspension for betting on games in the previous season, but he was later reinstated for the 2023 season.

Ridley was able to pick up right where he left off, recording 76 catches for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns with the Jaguars, but Jacksonville wasn’t willing to give him the payday he was looking for after the season.

The Titans were, however, as they handed him a four-year, $92 million deal. He played up to that contract last season with 64 catches for 1,017 yards and four touchdowns on the year. The same cannot be said for this season, though.

Ridley still has two years left on his contract but has a potential out in 2026, according to Spotrac.
