A surprise new AFC team is emerging as a front-runner to trade for Cleveland Browns superstar defensive end Myles Garrett, according to the latest betting odds.

Earlier this week, the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year announced in a statement that he requested a trade from the Browns. The No. 1 pick of 2017 has spent his entire career in Cleveland.

There certainly won’t be a shortage of teams interested in Myles Garrett, who’s on his way to the Hall of Fame with 102.5 career sacks in 117 games. If the Browns agree to shop him, you can bet that just about any playoff contender with the necessary cap space will have interest.

According to the latest betting odds at Bovada, the Miami Dolphins have the second-best odds of acquiring Garrett in a blockbuster trade. Miami is coming off a disappointing 8-9 season that marked their first losing campaign since 2019.

The Dolphins’ usually dangerous pass rush has been hampered by injuries over the last two years, with Bradley Chubb missing the entire 2024 season and Jaelan Phillips being limited to 12 games since 2023.

So adding a player like Myles Garrett would make a healthy Miami pass rush that much more dangerous. In fact, one could argue that a defensive line with these three would give Mike McDaniel’s squad the best front seven in football.

Myles Garrett Would Make Dolphins A Super Bowl Contender

We know that Miami will always have a top-flight offense as long as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The defense has plenty of talent in place, but adding arguably the league’s best defensive player would take Miami from playoff hopeful to bonafide championship contender in a difficult AFC.
