As expected, London is no longer on the Seahawks staff after just one season.
The Seattle Seahawks will have a new quarterbacks coach for the fourth consecutive season.
After just one year with the team, Charles London is on his way across the country to join Aaron Glenn’s New York Jets staff. It’ll be a lateral move for London, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
London’s departure is not remotely surprising given the Seahawks have reportedly conducted interviews with New Orleans Saints QBs coach Andrew Janocko and New York Giants assistant QBs coach Christian Jones, both of whom have prior ties to new Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
Regardless of who the Seahawks’ starting quarterback is for 2025, they’ve had consistent turnover at the QBs coach position over the past several seasons. Whoever gets the QBs coach job will be Seattle’s fifth in five years.
2020-2021: Austin Davis (left for Auburn)
2022: Dave Canales (left for Bucs OC)
2023: Greg Olson (not retained by Mike Macdonald after Pete Carroll’s departure)
2024: Charles London (not retained by Macdonald)
2025: TBD
The Jets coaching staff also includes former Seahawks first-round pick Aaron Curry, who was brought in from the Pittsburgh Steelers as Glenn’s linebackers coach.
